Your privacy is of the utmost importance, we are therefore committed to safeguarding your personal information.  Information collected from the website may include any personal details you knowingly provide us through our enquiry form and direct email, enquiring about or booking any of our services.  The type of information we collect may include your name, postal address, email address and telephone number etc

When you provide us with information for anybody under the age of 18, you are confirming that you are either their parent or guardian and you are giving consent for us to process their data.

We always treat your data with sensitivity and keep it secure.  When you make a booking with us, we are required to share your details with the performers/entertainers booked for your event or other suppliers (ie theme creators or party suppliers) in order to perform our services to you.

We may periodically send out emails detailing new products, services and special offers on the website. There is an opt-in option available in our enquiry form and opt-out/unsubscribe to any marketing emails we send.

We may use the information gathered for internal marketing research and monitoring through analytics tools how users find, move around and interact with our website. Analytics tools may be gathered from other sources such as marketing service providers (social media and search engines) or other businesses through whom we advertise our services. Information from these other sources is non-personally identifiable.

Third parties will not be allowed to use your personal information for their own purpose.

We only keep personal data for an appropriate period of time for the purposes for which we are using it, as well as for our internal accounting and legal requirements.

We adopt best practices and operate secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection to safeguard personal identifiable information.  Any session requests to our servers are monitored to detect and prevent any suspect activity, fraudulent behavior or site attacks.

Any information collected will be used in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (and previously Data Protection Act 1998) applicable laws.

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

“Client” means any individual, firm, charity, education authority, council or body corporate which makes a booking with The Action Station UK Ltd
“Event” means the event or events the subject of the booking form/invoice
“the Action Station” means The Action Station UK Ltd, Company Reg No 5834038, 13 Worfield Street, London, SW11 4RB

To ensure allocation of the best performer for your event, we recommend you book at least 6-8 weeks before your preferred event date (longer for Seasonal Celebrations). After your initial enquiry and confirmation of availability, your booking is only secured upon receipt of your signed booking form/invoice.

The Action Station acts as agent of the performers booked at your event who are all checked for references, as well as CRB or police checked.  The host/ parent should remain at all times responsible for the general supervision of the children at your event.   The performers are limited to the supervision of party/ entertainment activities provided by us.

Any subsequent booking or recommendation should be made through The Action Station and under no circumstances performers or subcontractors introduced by The Action Station should be contacted directly.  The Client shall keep in strict confidence all commercial know-how, including names of performers and/or suppliers which are disclosed to the Client by The Action Station or subcontractors which the Client may obtain.

All materials, hire equipment, props etc or otherwise supplied by The Action Station to the Client shall at all times be held by the Client in safe custody and in good condition and shall be returned to The Action Station on its request.
All Prices are subject to change at any time with the exception of confirmed bookings.  There may be additional travel/ delivery costs for areas outside London area which will be confirmed at the time of booking.

The Action Station reserves the right to cancel or suspend the provision of the agreed services if: the payment dates are not adhered to; the client, being a company, has had a winding up petition presented against it, has entered into administration, receivership, liquidation or an arrangement with its creditors; the client, being an individual, has had a bankruptcy petition against it, has become bankrupt, insolvent or entered into an arrangement with its creditors; the venue or any other key element of the Event is cancelled by the provider of the venue for the Event or another main supplier for the Event for any reason, not including default of The Action Station.

No refund or allowance will be made by The Action Station if fewer persons than agreed attend the Event.  Alternative arrangements in the case of bad weather should always be made by the client to avoid cancellation.

Private Event Bookings – Payment & Cancellation

Bookings are only secured on receipt of a signed booking agreement and payment of the deposit referred to in the booking form/invoice.

A non refundable deposit specified on the booking form shall be paid by the Client to The Action Station UK Ltd upon signature of the booking agreement. The full payment of the remaining balance should be made payable in cash or cheque on the day.  Please make such payment promptly & discreetly.

Bookings may only be cancelled by written notice (by fax or email to info@theactionstationuk.co.uk) not less than 14 working days before the Event Date.  You will then need to follow this up by telephone call to confirm receipt.  If cancellation occurs less than 14 working days before the event, you will become automatically liable for the payment of the total sum in the Invoice issued.  We will do our best to accommodate any modifications, but we regret that we can not guarantee that we will be able to make any such changes.

Corporate Bookings – Payment & Cancellation

Bookings are only secured on receipt of a signed booking agreement and payment of the non refundable deposit referred to in the booking form/invoice.

Full payment of the balance should be made payable to The Action Station UK Ltd on the day of the event (unless otherwise agreed and specified on the booking form/invoice).  The Action Station reserves the right to exercise the statutory right to interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation.

Bookings may only be cancelled by written notice (by fax or email to info@theactionstationuk.co.uk) not less than 30 working days before the Event Date.  You will then need to follow this up by telephone call to confirm receipt.  In the event of cancellation by the client, the following charges are payable: up to 30 days before the event; 50% of the total fee is due, 14 days before the event, 100% of the total fee is due. We will do our best to accommodate any modifications, but we regret that we can not guarantee that we will be able to make any such changes.

Liability

The client acknowledges that the Action Station acts as an agent to the performers booked at your event and uses subcontractors and third party suppliers (catering, equipment hire, props etc) to fulfill your booking requirements.  The Action Station will not be liable for any misrepresentations, negligence, contractual or tortuous loss of any kind whatsoever suffered by the client or any due to any act or omission by or on behalf of any third party unless arising out of gross negligence or willful misconduct of The Action Station, performer or third party supplier. In any event, liability will be limited to the total value of the booking with us.

The Action Station can accept no responsibility for any injury to Clients and their guests sustained whilst attending the Event. All Performers have full public liability insurance; however personal accident insurance is not included. Clients requiring this cover should contact their own insurers well in advance. This limitation of liability shall also extend to any loss or damage sustained by property or belongings of the client or any of the client’s guests or for any further costs, demands or expenses incurred or suffered by the client arising out of the booking.

Whilst every effort will be made to ensure the provision of the services detailed, The Action Station cannot be held responsible for non completion, shortcomings, delays or conditions, which may affect the Event and are outside their control. E.g. bad weather, acts of terrorism, fire, flood, damage of the venue etc. but please be assured that this engagement has been taken in good faith and every reasonable safeguard will be applied.

No provision of these terms and conditions or of the booking agreement are enforceable by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties Act) 1999 by any party other than The Action Station or the Client
These terms and conditions are governed by and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
